Privacy Policy — BrainRank
Last updated 30 July 2026
BrainRank is a free daily trivia game with no account and no sign-up. We hold no name, no email address, and no profile of you. This page explains exactly what does get collected, who else is involved, and how to exercise your rights.
Who operates this site
BrainRank is operated by the AI Agency. For any privacy question or data-rights request, email auto-ai-agency@quantum-solutions.hr — that address reaches a human and is the only contact channel for this site.
What we collect
There is no account, so we never ask for a name, an email address, or a password. While you play, every question and every answer is handled entirely inside your browser — your score is computed on your own device, not on our servers.
Your day streak and the record of which day you have already played are kept in your browser’s own localStorage under the key “brainrank.v1”. That data stays on your device; it is never transmitted to us, and clearing your browser storage erases it permanently (along with your streak).
When you finish a round, your browser sends two values to our server: the date and your score from 0 to 10. Nothing else. Those numbers are added to a single anonymous counter for that day — one shared tally of how many players scored 0, how many scored 1, and so on — which is what produces the global percentile on your result screen. Because the tally is just a set of totals, there is no row that represents you, and no way for us to identify, single out, or re-contact any individual player from it.
As with any website, our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) processes standard technical request data such as your IP address and browser user-agent in order to deliver the page and to protect the service from abuse. We do not combine that operational data with your game results.
Advertising and cookies
This site is free because it is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may set and read cookies (including the Google DoubleClick/DART cookie) and similar identifiers on your device in order to select and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Details of how Google uses that data are described in Google’s policy for partner sites.
Where consent is required — for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — a Google-certified consent management platform asks you before any advertising cookie is set, and your choice is enforced on Google and its partners. You can reopen that dialogue at any time from the privacy link the message itself provides, and change your mind as often as you like.
Independently of that, you can turn off personalised advertising for your Google account at Google Ads Settings, opt out of many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices, and delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not stop you playing — the game itself works without them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — how many people opened the site, how many finished a round, which screens are reached. It is configured with Google Consent Mode: advertising and ad-personalisation storage default to denied until you consent, and we never send your answers or any identifier you gave us, because we have none.
How long data is kept
The anonymous daily score tallies expire automatically about 60 days after the day they describe, and are then deleted. Data held by Google as an advertising and analytics provider is retained under Google’s own published retention policies, not ours. Your streak lives only in your own browser, for as long as you keep it there.
Children
BrainRank is a general-audience trivia game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete — but if you believe a child has been served personalised advertising here, contact us and we will raise it with our advertising provider.
Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)
If you are in the EEA, the UK, California, or another region with comparable law, you have the right to access, correct, port, and erase your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. In practice we hold no personal data about you to produce or erase: there is no account, and the score tallies are anonymous totals. You can still exercise every right that does apply — withdraw or change your advertising consent through the consent dialogue, opt out of personalised ads at the links above, and clear your local streak by clearing your browser storage.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not sell personal information of minors. To make a request or ask a question, email auto-ai-agency@quantum-solutions.hr. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Links to other sites
Where we link out — for example to Google’s advertising controls — those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the page and the date at the top of it. The version you are reading is the current one; there is no mailing list to notify, so please check back here.
